'Back to the Bridge' is a collection of shorter poems written by Sam Telford in 2024. The poems are stripped back and minimal in format while retaining quiet intensity. Themes include his hometown, the recent passing of a friend and the process of writing poetry. The poems are both colloquial and localised, at times darkly humorous and often take the form of suggestive sketches.
Sam Telford was born in 1992 in Gateshead. He works as a tea merchant and lives in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
