2027 OPPORTUNITIES.
For 2027 we will be looking for up to 4 book length poetry collections, 12-30 poems (2500 words up to 6000 words.) that are close to the final stage of editing. We accept solo and collaborative works (Please note payment for collaborative works is split evenly between the contributing poets). The submissions window for 2027 ends November 1st 2026. Unfortunately we can't reply to each submission individually but please do not be deterred from submitting again if your poems are not selected.
Poets who are selected will be paid a cash lump-sum prior to publication and given five author copies of their book. Kulvert poets are able to purchase additional copies of their book or any Kulvert release at wholesale price (plus shipping). Our books are distributed across the UK and US. Each release will be launched at a special event in either Newcastle, Bristol or both.
2026 OPPORTUNITIES.
We currently have no remaining spaces for publication in 2026.
UNDERGROUND RIVER CHAPBOOK
A chapbook is published and printed monthly at our Newcastle Underground River poetry nights through October 2025 to March 2026. Come along and read for a chance to be featured.
